This is an interesting way to present content knowledge for students. There are many different types of learning styles and this is one more way to get students excited about education. Essays can be boring and many students do not write them until the night before the assignment is due. This story board ensures that students are engaged in the activity and working together in groups. When students are interested in a project they are more likely to actually learn rather then doing to project just because they have to.

Do students with a low technology level do poorly in this type of assignment?

I think that all students have the potential to do well on this assignment. There is class time taken to explain the program so that each student can succeed. If teachers make their own groups they can also put more advanced students with lower technology students so they can help other students. It is all up to the teacher how much time they put into planning for this assignment.

Is this more work for the teacher?

When a teacher starts any new lesson they are going to spend more time planning then a unit they know like the back of their hand. However this project takes out the assessment part of another project like reading 30 essays so in the long run I think this project evens out. There are many different subjects that this project can work for and I think the students would have more fun in this type of assignment.
